For a newly created profile, the expedition to find a distinctive identity requires creativity and a dash of inspiration. For VanityCoke, the genesis of its name was a deliberate endeavor to escape from the mundane and form his inimitable digital character. In hindsight, he reflected on the process, and he reminisced about the challenges of finding an available username that captured the essence of his account while remaining original.
“Back in 2021, when I was creating my account, all the generic ones like “fashion” or “90sstyle” were taken,” the individual narrated. “I wanted to create an original name, not something basic like “fashion_style9”. Thus, a brainstorming session to infuse personal significance and creativity into his online persona was initiated.
The word that stood out to him the most was “vanity” and finally became the pillar of his username. As the individual highlighted, the word’s syllables give off a harmonic acoustic effect. Like many others, he decided to embark on a social media journey in 2021 “out of boredom” as he funnily highlighted. Little did he know that he would rapidly receive a lot of love from his followers as he cheerfully emphasized that “[his] account has grown really fast thanks to the incredible support of my fans.”
Could you tell us more about yourself and your dreams? Who are you outside of social media?

At 25 years old, he continuously engaged his growing audience. As he was flooded by questions about his nationality, he posted a story encouraging his followers to guess where he was from. Despite various guesses, with most involving Slavic countries, none were correct. The surprise reveal? He is from a small town in Africa. However, his modest beginnings cannot constrain his dreams with the biggest one being moving to New York.
Relationships are fundamental both in social media and in the fashion world. Could you talk to us about some of your friendships and connections with social media stars?
In his follow-up response, he delves further into his fascination and close relationships with 2000s supermodels, playfully claiming that he has acquired an “unofficial Ph.D.” in the subject matter. He recalls a charming anecdote featuring his favorite model, Sneijana Onopka, highlighting a pleasant moment when she followed him on Instagram despite his low following count. As he highlighted, her gesture was based on his loveable personality rather than his online popularity. More specifically, when he asked him why she decided to follow him, she replied in a simplistic and yet amiable way, saying “I like you because you are sweet”.
