Having over 420,000 followers makes your online presence very impressive. How do you engage with your followers? Also, how hard is it to maintain such a strong connection with them?

Forming lasting bonds and connections with your followers is the key to growth in social media. Through regular and meaningful interactions, creators can comprehend the preferences of their audience and create tailored content that deeply resonates with their supporters. That way, the foundation for community creation is set. Indeed, Jill has a very strong community of over 400 thousand followers on Instagram which she deeply loves. “Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today,” she remarked with a sense of appreciation, highlighting the life-altering contribution her supporters made to her life. Furthermore, she puts effort into talking with her audience on a daily basis, often replying to design questions in her DMs. Even if it can be a demanding task, she finds it genuinely rewarding and satisfying to hear their stories and share in their creative journeys as she pointed out. “I’m so grateful for their support and I’m always looking for new ways to engage and give back to this amazing community,” she highlighted.

You have a clear and unique style that resonates with many. How would you describe your signature style, and what key elements define your work across interior design, photography, and styling?

Discovering your personal and unique style can be challenging. It requires navigating a labyrinth until you find a path that resonates with your tastes and values. After years of exploration, Jill realized that her “signature style is all about creating a feeling of warmth and welcoming serenity, even as it evolves and adapts.” To achieve a harmonious and unique result she draws inspiration from a tapestry of aesthetics such as transitional, Japandi, mid-century modern, farmhouse, and Scandinavian. By blending these different styles and elements she crafts spaces that feel “both timeless and deeply personal” and feed the soul.

As she pointed out, three key elements define her work across interior design, photography, and styling. Firstly, she focuses on natural light and organic materials; whether she is designing a room, capturing a scene through my lens, or arranging a vignette, natural light and elements like wood, stone, and florals are foundational to her approach. Secondly, she recognizes the power of a curated sense of simplicity. Her work revolves around the art of negative space and carefully chosen pieces, with each element possessing a unique voice and character. Therefore, the spaces do not become cluttered; instead, they invite you to breathe and appreciate each element, emitting a serene aura and creating a cohesive environment. Thirdly, she never ignores the importance of functionality and comfort. Her goal is to create spaces that are welcoming and loved. She makes sure that the spaces she creates are cherished and her designs support the way people use their homes and their environment.

What makes her designs and techniques unique is that she does not stick to a particular formula. Rather, she follows an intuitive and adaptive process that gives authentic and inviting results. “I weave these elements together to create spaces that reflect the personality and lifestyle of the people who inhabit them,” she remarked.

One of the main sources of artistic inspiration is your environment and your surroundings. Each building, street, and landscape can spark your imagination and ignite creative ideas. The details of the atmosphere around you often serve as a canvas and give you numerous visual stimuli, influencing your ideas. Admittedly, Jill recognizes the influence of Las Vegas, “a city that truly pulsates with energy and innovation,” as she remarked. She draws inspiration from the entire city, from the stunning architecture of the hotels and restaurants to the continuous buzz of activity. “I find that being surrounded by such a dynamic environment encourages me to push boundaries and embrace bold, creative choices in my work,” showcasing how the vibrant setting triggers her artistic instincts. Las Vegas is her reminder that everything is possible, making her career mindset very powerful.

Both in social media and the design sector collaborations are crucial. Have you considered or dreamt about collaborating with someone? If yes, who?

The best ideas are born when different minds work together to produce something greater than the sum of their parts. Individual effort cannot beat the richer and more creative ideas that flourish with collaboration. After all, blending thoughts and perspectives sparks innovation and helps all the involved parties to grow and learn. As Jill reflects, “I’ve been incredibly fortunate to collaborate with several of my dream brands throughout my career, which has been truly fulfilling,” underscoring the importance of partnerships in her journey. However, her aspirations are not yet fully realized, as she dreams of exploring her lingerie and swimwear passion further. “Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve dreamed of modeling for Victoria’s Secret” Jill reveals with excitement and anticipation. To bring this childhood wish to life would mean combining her love for design and fashion in an iconic setting.

Can you share your journey into interior design with us? What made you want to pursue this creative field?

Jill’s background affected her creative journey significantly as the stimuli she received revealed her passion for interior design. “I’ve been immersed in the world of interior design and construction since I was born,” Jill remarked. Since her father owned a construction company and her family moved often, they would build houses from the ground up and sell them a few years later. She witnessed the transformation of empty pieces of land into warm and cozy homes. Thus, she was involved in the whole process, from construction and planning to choosing the colors of the walls. “Interior design feels like an innate passion, something I was born into,” demonstrating the effect of her early steps into her life.

Thanks for this special interview you agreed on. The last thing we would like to know is something that can help many beginners. If you were to start again from zero, which steps would you take? How would you react to failure and success?

The early stages of a career, just like life, are often full of challenges and curves. However, starting from zero gives you a solid opportunity to build the bases and grow from the ground up. In this context, if Jill was to begin again, she would focus on obtaining a solid foundation of knowledge. She recognizes the power of digital resources such as YouTube and online courses that offer incredible opportunities for self-learning. “I’d immerse myself in those, focusing on the specific skills and industry insights relevant to my goals,” she highlighted.

Jill understands that the path to success is not linear; in fact, she firmly believes that failure is an inevitable part of the journey and a valuable learning experience. “Each setback provides an opportunity to refine my approach and grow stronger,” she emphasized.
