After a not-so-long wait, the second edition of the Fashion Week rankings is here. Perhaps you missed the previous one about Milan Fashion Week. If so, you can check it out by clicking here: Milan Fashion Week.

Anyways, let’s fly to Paris and dive into the most fashionable week of the year to explore and find out the latest trends and styles.

Unfortunately, as always, we start from the last position which in this case is held by:

Number 10: Rick Owens

The problem with the collection is that there are too many eclectic details, and Rick Owens’s style, as we could expect, is very dystopian and impressionistic. Some would even say that he is the Goya of nowadays fashion. However, even if the color combination might seem to be perfect, and the materials are excellent quality-wise, the way they have been used does not valorize the final design.

Like in the rankings of the Milan Fashion Week, in which there were some very controversial positions, here is one that will leave you surprised. Unfortunately, though, in the last few years, this brand lost a bit of the elegance and ideas it used to represent, and this pattern was a part of the reason why at position number nine we have:

Number 9: Christian Dior

This collection has mixed the opinions of many regarding the stylistic choices of Dior. The excessive branding and fall in elegance generate a huge wave of discontent among the many enthusiasts of this brand. In conclusion, the confusion of styles: street/elegant/antique, the tones of beige, and the strong use of branding are the main characteristics of this unsatisfying collection.

Again, as it happened before, we find ourselves in a stylistic fall, the brand that made many people’s dreams back in the day, and as we expect it to do in the future, just presented a collection that does not apply to their nowadays very strict standards. That’s why at the seventh position we have:

Number 8: Valentino

The idea behind the collection was very utopic, and it consisted of a total-black palette. Unfortunately, the confused designs, the wrong use of materials, and the incorrect use of transparency in the shapes diminished the collection that the Maison imagined. However, the young touch, the fresh air, and the completely modern and captivating style make sure that Valentino succeeds in being still one of the best brands for this edition of Paris Fashion Week.

Number 7: Off White

The team of Chiconomix loves the sporty and trendy use of bright colors in the intriguing Off-White line, making the outfits chic and recognizable. Very appreciated are the lovely furs and amazing dresses that work in contrast to the streetwear collection. In conclusion, the designs are very complete, and we loved the blazer worn on the neck as a scarf.

Number 6: Alexander McQueen

In this case, like in the Milan Fashion Week, we embark on a throwback journey to the ’80s with inhomogeneous shapes, very particular shoes, and hats. The mystery in style and elegance is modernized and futurized with some incredible designs. The team of Chiconomix, like the critique, appreciated the nice comeback of the armadillo shoes.

Number 5: Hermès

As always during the Paris Fashion Week, there is one protagonist that doesn’t disappoint. Hermes is elegance, Hermes is perfect leather, smooth, and comfortable. Innovation may not be the main goal, but subliminally the Maison showed how a collection can be both conservative and innovative.

Number 4: Givenchy

A consolidated position in the ranking belongs to Givenchy. Its collection is classic, osè, elegant, and respectful all at once. The brand confirms its attitude towards feminism, highlighting the beauty of a woman, and shows the details of her personality but in a respectful way. The choice of colors is brave while light blue, pink, white, and black are the main ones.

We finally arrived at the top three! Like every edition, this is the hottest part, and by far the expectations must be high. Chiconomix guarantees the positions and will show you an impartial genuine evaluation. So, before diving into the top ranks, we care to mention an honorable collection, and this is our choice for Paris Fashion Week 2024/2025:

Honorable Mention: Miu Miu

With a showoff of old-style designs, integrating some very nice innovations in the choice of gloves, and mixing colors, Miu Miu conquers the Honorable Mention spot for this edition. The collection fits every age and every personality and the silhouette is conservative and meaningful at the same time.

Now, introducing the top three collections, at number three we have:

Number 3: Chanel

Chanel’s collection is defined by the wide hats as they are the first gadgets to notice, and with this fresh breeze, the choice of keeping high the level of elegance both in colors and in patterns makes this design unique and greatly acclimated. The whole combination of every outfit was the expression of the brand’s history, and it was exactly what the market needed.

Following in the second position, the well-deserved result belongs to:

Number 2: Balmain

The design includes pointy details, and, unexpectedly, the stylistic choice converged to a conservative collection, setting its goal to dress a woman like a dame. Again, the style belongs to every age, and in simple words is colorful and amazing.

Finally, we ended up with the best collection of this Paris Fashion Week, with a style that created excitement in our team and that made clear from the beginning that this was the best collection. So, the first place belongs to:

Number 1: Saint Laurent

The style Anthony Vaccarello came up with left every spectator speechless with its superlative tones, transparent design, large jackets, and beautiful shoes. The work paid off as we can see that every detail plays its part and in the end, like a perfect detailed portrait, it shaped the perfect collection. It simply couldn’t be better.
